The state Affordable Housing Trust Fund has teamed up with the local Our House group to help provide low cost home loans to those in need. Mayor Cohen worked with Our House to help fund the purchase of a new group home for the disabled in the city.
As a result, more residents in the city are now able to afford homes and additional options for living. The community in Berkeley Heights has helped to ensure that the financial crisis has not unduly affected its citizens.
